Emergency Plumber in Salinas, CA
A split supply line under the sink, sewage coming up a shower drain or a water heater leaking across the garage floor needs a plumber the same day. Getting the water off first limits the damage.

Close the main
Most Salinas homes have a shut-off where the line enters the house, often near the front hose bib or in the garage, and another at the meter. Turn it clockwise.
Water heater leaks
Shut the cold valve on top of the tank and turn the gas control to off or switch off the breaker.
Sewer backups
Stop using water and flushing. A backup at the lowest drain usually means the main line is blocked; see sewer line repair.
Gas smell
Leave the house and call the gas utility from outside. After an earthquake, only shut off gas at the meter if you smell or hear a leak.
Electrical safety
Keep away from wet outlets and appliances, and switch off the breaker to a flooded room if it's safe.
Slab homes
Many Salinas homes are on slabs. Water coming up through flooring or warm spots can mean a leak under the concrete.
Document it
Take photos and videos before cleanup for the insurance claim.
Storm nights
Winter storms bring a wave of calls. With the water off, you can wait more safely.
Request a plumber
Tell us where the water is coming from and whether the main is off. Send a request and a licensed plumber will get in touch.
